Comedian Tracy Morgan plans to return to Nashville next week to apologize to audience members who were offended by an anti-gay rant during a stand-up show on June 3. During the performance, the “30 Rock” actor told the audience that if his son were gay, he would “pull out a knife and stab” him. Morgan already has issued a public apology, saying he went too far, even for a comedy show. On Tuesday, Morgan publicist Nicole Chabot confirmed that Morgan agreed to the Nashville meeting at the request of Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation President Jarrett Barrios. Morgan also agreed to meet with gay and lesbian youth in New York City this week. And he will participate in a GLAAD public service campaign to combat anti-gay bullying.
